I have some friends that love to dine out and discover new flavors. When they asked me to redo their guest bedroom on a very tight budget, I thought it would be a great idea to bring some of their love for food into their space. For almost no money at all, I was able to make these one-of-a-kind art pieces that they can enjoy for a long time.

Materials:

  • 2 Canvases (found at thrift store)
  • Spray paint in the color of your choice I used (Ace Premium Enamel in Banner Red)
  • several forks (also found at thrift store)
  • several knives (also found at thrift store)
  • crafting glue

What to do?

  1. Find an open air space. Lay out the canvas on some newspaper or cardboard to protect the surface. Spray paint the canvas as per the instructions on the spray paint can. Add a second coat if necessary. If you want to spray paint the utensils another color you can go ahead and do that too!
  2. Once the spray paint is dry, start glueing the utensils in whatever design or pattern you’d like. Let it dry.
  3. Display them and you’re done!
